TIM HALL AUSTRALIAN ARTIST
Tim Hall is an Australian artist whose reputation has grown strongly in the past 25 years both in Australia and internationally.
Tim was trained at the South Australian School of Art in the late 1960's. Here he majored in painting and left in 1969 after 3 years with a Diploma of Art Teaching.
He taught art in major South Australian schools being promoted to a Senior Master in art after 4 years.
During that time he had several successful exhibitions with an exciting response to his work especially his large abstract pieces the largest of which was 96 square feet in size.
In 1974 he left teaching to pursue life as a youth pastor and then an evangelist. His passion to paint became less until the late 1980's when a family crisis saw him challenged to again start painting. In the following year he had good success working professionally as an artist.
Since 1989 he has sold over 3,000 original paintings. He has produced over 20 limited editions of his work in both Australia and the USA. One print raised over $80,000 for a church in Tampa, Florida. Another print featured Sir Donald Bradman's cover drive. The original painting was hung in the Bradman collection in the Adelaide Library and viewed by thousands of people. The original later sold for $55,000.
He has done the decor for a number of companies. Here are images for Vintek in South Australia. (Images 3-8). His paintings hang in the homes of internationally famous celebrities, musicians, movie actors, prime ministers and sportsmen in Australia, USA, South Africa and the U.K.
His work has gone through many stages and a variety of techniques. These include hundreds of watercolours of Australia's outback,Cityscapes and abstract pieces.
His favourite work features bright coloured abstract images. These are highly sought after and recent exhibitions have been particularly successful.
